As the way to someone’s heart is through his stomach, we at the “Alter Schlachthof” select our products almost exclusively from local farmers and selected suppliers from the immediate vicinity. Because only using fresh, natural and high-quality ingredients, we are able to create dishes for you which are delicious and healthy at the same time. This applies to South Tyrolean classics as well as forays into the international cuisine, vegetarian and vegan variations and titbits which are suitable for guests with food intolerances.
No matter when you come to the “Alter Schlachthof”, how hungry or thirsty you are: here you will always find something. But not just something. After all, we select every product and supplier very diligently and carefully. So we are able to offer you really good coffee, harvest-fresh fruits and vegetables, outstanding South Tyrolean wines, our own craft beer 'Viertel Bier' and meat of the highest-quality. In addition to that, our young, creative kitchen team is sharing our passion for valuable and local products, uniting traditions and trends as well as working with fervour. And thanks to the fully-glazed kitchen you will be able to look over their shoulder the whole time.

Enjoy an espresso at the bar, make yourself comfortable in a cosy armchair with a newspaper, tea and cake or pick your spot in the guest garden during lunch break. Start your day with a healthy breakfast buffet, treat yourself to something delicious in between or enjoy the end of your work day in good company with an Aperitivo Lungo. Make yourself comfortable wherever you like and order whatever you like. Our regular menu, which is constantly changing according to the season and the respective market offers, will show you what we got in store for you. Furthermore, you will find changing daily specials which are often spontaneously created by our cooks according to what the farmers are currently harvesting.
